Dad's words about his cancer diagnosis was "Shit Happens"Robert "Bob" DubeI have created this page to share loving memories of Robert Paul Dube, my Father. Daddy was born January 11,1939 and lived a wonderful full life of just a few days short of 70 years. He passed away two days before his 70th birthday, on January 9,2009. His battle with cancer was short. Although we miss him dearly and still wish for more time, we are grateful his death was peaceful without prolonged suffering. Daddy is now our guardian angel watching over us all until we see him again in Heaven.
I will always remember going to the races with you!
One of my very earliest memories was of Daddy singing me the Tom T. Hall song "I Love". That was our song. To this day it reminds me of him. It describes him so well. It's one of the things that I know was truely ours. That song. I put little baby ducks in with him when we said our final goodbye because I wanted him to always have me with him, but I wanted him to have all of us, so each duck had our names on it. Not just us girls, but all of us that love him and he loves.
I love you Daddy. I love little baby ducks. Thankyou for giving me something that was ours.
